The Gentle Art Of Floating

The Gentle Art Of Floating is a band here in Oklahoma that is fascinating to me. Their music is inspired by dreams, floating, anti gravity, space etc.

The Gentle Art Of Floating @ The Deli-Norman,OK- 11.02.09

The group was formed by a friend of mine from high school, music wiz Colin Nance along with Tony and Eric.

Recently Shelbi joined the group, and she gives them a much needed energetic boost onstage, her presence with her violins and dancing really makes the crowd get into the music, and she has the greatest expressions as she plays, you can tell she truly loves playing this music.

I highly recommend listening to them, I really believe in their music, and I think you might too. I recommend Cosmic Lovers for sure.

I have been doing alot of photography lately... for what seems like dirt cheap. I did two weddings in the last week: 1 for $1000 and 1 for $600. I have done 8 weddings total, with 6 of those being in the last 5 months. I feel like I should be able to charge more now, but am afraid of losing business...

I have a couples shoot coming up which I charged $175 for, they seemed very happy with that price, so I'm happy. Concerts I tend to shoot for free because they are bands I like. So I have all of these wedding photos to edit, a couples shoot coming up, a concert to shoot coming up, and some ads for a gym I am working on, and I feel I did those for super cheap and now I am re-editing I feel I should be charging them for that as well.

I don't know. I just got licensed to process serve, so if that goes as planned I should have enough money to live comfortably AND have enough to fund artistic projects and not have to worry about doing shoots FOR people, not that I would quit doing weddings and couples and families and whatnot, but I wouldn't have to do them so OFTEN.

I really like DART btw. Been here a little while now and people seem to generally like my stuff... those who find it anyways.

I'm A Man Of My Word

Im a photographer in oklahoma city. dont tell me how to light a subject, dont tell me how to take a picture. im gonna do it my way, and thats why people like my work.

I dont like working with models, I like working with people. I dont really care what you look like, as long as youre interesting, the photos will be interesting. YOU WONT LOOK LIKE A PORCELAIN DOLL IN MY WORK. If you stumble you will not shatter into a million pieces.

i love critiques, but keep in mind, my work is what it is, and while i may find some fault, i love it. the beautiful thing about art is that it is all relative, but again, I do love to hear what people have to say.

and how come there isnt a "favorite model" option? that answer would be Lanoya <3
